I bought a cheap interphone BT headset off Amazon, it's made in china, two headsets that links to just about anything bluetooth for $93. Can't really go too wrong for that price so I thought I would try it. I picked up a transmitter I could plug into my escort 8500 radar detector so i could actually hear it when I was going fast enough to need it. I put it in my old HJC modular with limited success. It does work, a little tinny, not really sound quality you want to listen to for too long but it did give me a way to hear my wife telling me to slow down. She wears a 3/4 helmet with a long visor and anything over 50 mph you get alot of wind noise but at the speeds she likes to ride it works fine. It links with the ipod touch or cellphone. The phone works but I usually turn it off when I ride, I don't really like phones and to ride and talk seems dumb for me but it does work. Then I put it in my new Nolan N 90 modular. The differnce in sound quality was amazing. I think it must be that the nolan has ear holes to put the speakers in and creates a proper little sound tunnel and now I don't even want to turn the music off so I have to figure out another way to hear my radar detector. I'm going to try and plug in a small amp to the radar detector and run the speaker wires to a tranducer, or "exciter" that is mounted on the bottom of my seat. I should be able to feel the rumble when the radar detector goes off. I'm waiting for the parts and see if I can make it work.

this is the tranducer I hope to use , it's cheap enough that it won't be that dissapointing if it doesn't work https://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-388 and cheap T amp https://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=310-300 has anyone actually tried this?
