Got an early morning run to Southwestern Illinois today.

Saw the IDOT trucks out spraying the bridge decks with their liquid salt solution.

Yep, Wheaton trucks spray beet juice on the roads.

Sounds like there were alot of icy accidents yesterday on the roads south of I-80. Better the salt than head-on death by icy road.

Yep. Winter sucks...time to buy farkles and aftermarket suspensions and eat deep dish pizza and drink large steins of beer.

If you are saying that the calendar companies dictate the start and stop of winter...I think I have the makings of a huge lawsuit for 50+ years misprinting the start date and end date of winter in the Chicago area. All that pain and suffering...all because of a calendar company's reckless and wonton reoccuring mistakes...causing misery by extending winter to five months instead of the promised three.

Definitely not too early airboss...heavy dusting of snow here Saturday morning. Roads are still $hit with leaf and tree debris all over the lanes.

No salt yet, but the first decent snow will fix that.

I'll try to put a positive spin on this subject. (By the way, here in the warm part of Minnesota, it was 4 degrees F here a couple of mornings ago).

In 8 days, the daylight time starts getting longer! We're almost through this crap!
