Just wonder if this is true. It seems too good to be, but I was wondering if anyone had any exoerience with these.

It says it will add 25hp.....That would be nice because this truck is somewhat of a dog in my opioion.

Thanks,

Jeff

I take it that this means???? This is a BS device????

Yes, it is. At $9, most if not all foolish buyers forgo any claims due to the cost not being worth it, not to mention being embarassed about having been taken. Performance chips (real ones) cost in excess of $125 if not $300. Product development and testing do not come cheap. Add this one to the list of "miracle power!!" and "double, even TRIPLE your mileage!!" devices that take advantage of the consumers gullibility. ;) No pics of the device add to the mystery......... :glare: Add to this the fact that they have the performance answer, all at $8.99, for every vehicle on the planet, over 9 pages of them.

Thanks Rad....Good Point....I figured it was too good to be ture. I won't waste my money!!

I know for a fact in looking for power upgrades for my Xterra 03' that not much of anything exists.

The chips on ebay for the Xterra are a scam, they don't do anything.

The best way to increase power on my 03 XTerra is to buy an 06 and instantly go from around 180hp to 260hp...

The old Frontier I believe are the same engine as mine...

Yes I agree the Frontier has about 190HP. The new Frontier has about 265HP. I wouldn't mine it only takes $$$$.

Yep, I am about to pay mine off and am in no hurry for another payment.

When I need a quick power boost, I turn the ac off :D

Oh and did I mention the gas mileage sucks

So true so true.....While I like the looks of my truck and love no payments. The mileage is terrible. Maybe 19MPG on the HWY or 5.9 miles per Dollar like TWN would say. I've seen as little as 11 MPG or 3.4 miles per dollar when towing.

Defiantly why I take the FJR when every I can. Saves $$$$ and adds Fun.

That is surprising....You must have been babying that Titan.......I had my FJR, two mountainbikes, the wife and wife stuff if you know what I mean ;) , but I think the main reason it got so bad was I was pushing it hard. Probably doing 85mph minimum. Around ninety most of the time.

Once I eased off to 75-80mph it got its normal 15-16mpg.

I had the cruise set at 75 the whole way from missouri to Arizona

Here is a pic of the FJR in my truck

+1 on Radman's response about development, you get what you pay for. Before leaving FL for TX, I was checking out this chip: here and had heard some good things about them. I visited their headquarters in Sanford, FL and found I could save about $100 purchasing from a distributor. I also loaded my 01' 6 cyl Dodge Dakota up w/ the FJR and drove to TX. I ranged from 14 - 17 mpg depending on the amount of downshifts on hills. I am real curious as to what diference that chip would have made.
