Nope. Windy Ridge is still closed.
I rode Wind River Road, FS90, & FS25 as part of a large loop, today. Stopped in at the Cougar Bar & Grill for a late lunch as I've heard they do a great burger there. Lots of bikes and CanAm Spyders in the lot. "This looks promising" thinks I. What a mistake.
I sat for over thirty minutes waiting to be helped. The place isn't that big, but with two waitresses, a bar tender and a bus person, all wandering aimlessly about, they couldn't do more than drop off a menu and ask, once, if I'd been helped yet. "Nooooo" And I was sitting right up front at a big table.
I finally gave up, walked into the bar, where all the help was gathered and asked, angrily, if there was any place nearby where I could get some food. The bartender, who had asked if I'd been helped about fifteen minutes earlier, offered a half-assed apology and suggested the Lone Fir Resort, just down the road.
I was seated, ordered, served, and done in less time than I wasted down the street. Sheesh!
Sorry for the off-topic rant, but I just had to vent and maybe it will help keep someone else from wasting their time.

what? not yet? sheesh! tough to plan chit with that kinda news
as for Cougar (not just the bar), it seems a might friendlier to Harley types. Stopped once, doubt I would again
Now, down south? there is this Mexican joint on the main street of Stevenson. Holy man the food is amazing, and the fresh peach margueritas in Sept? just make sure you are parked for the night, you'll be too full and tipsy to go any farther LOL
