My Motion Pro Carb Tuner came in and I absolutely love it. It's yellow and has black hoses...will look wonderful in my garage. I can't wait to try it out and see if it's as good as everyone says. :yahoo:

Oh yeah; I got my FJR on Tuesday!

Congrats MSC. Wouldn’t you agree that Co 60 blue is so intense that it practically radiates! :)

Was wondering if ya were out making tracks with the new wheels. How many miles so far?

Do ya still frequent Hal’s Wing board?

Congrats on the new bike. How long before your fellow officers say to you "oh no!, not you again Mike" :lol2:

I've had my FJR for about 3 weeks and I'm surprised I haven't been pulled over. When I had my BMW K1200RS I was constantly pulled over in and around my town. Never got a ticket, but was either given a warning or just followed (wished they'd just pull me over)... :D

Yeah...I'm lovin' it. Did the break-in on FJR Tech on Tuesday night and changed the oil and rear drive lube. Put 200 plus on it yesterday getting miles and lots of shifts. Very happy with the bike so far. Seat could be better but no complaints. I will probably do Fred's throttle pulley mod one morning this week. I have a grin from ear to ear right now.

I was ridin hwy 25 towards 29 Dreams (Alabama) last night and got behind an FJR, w/ a top trunk, that was riding 2 up. They were scootin pretty good. My wife was behind me on her ST1300 so I couldn't play. I fear her more than I do road rash. Gotta keep Momma happy. Ant chance the other Feej was a board member? Chime in!

Congrats Mike!!

I have ridden hwy 25 several times, it's a nice twisty little ride--it's just too short, by the time you begin to get into the groove it's over, gotta turn around and go back through it again--and again--and again, some good elevation but there are a few bad spots in a couple curves that need to be leveled and smoothed the last time I was there--back during the Barber AMA race couple months back. How strict are LEO on that stretch of 25? since there are a fair # of bikes riding that route w/29 Dreams I suppose that is state trooper jurisdiction?

State and County patrol the area. You will see more on the weekend than during the week. Usually heavy when there is an event at Barbers or a charity ride from 29 Dreams. Watch out for sand in the corners. Locals have been known to "slow" riders by placing some "love" in strategic locations. Have not seen that often though. They have not repaired the rippled areas you spoke of. They occur on downhills presumably because of heavy trucks that travel the area braking. Kind of like a scrunched up carpet.

Just got back from putting a quick 70 miles on the feej before getting ready for work.

Mike -- Why did you get the tubed Motion Pro Carb Tuner instead of the electronic one?

I want to get one but was leaning toward the electronic one to avoid the mercury.

By the way how big is your department (number of officers)?

C.R.

I got what everyone else has. I'm mechanically challenged and didn't know any different. As long as it works.

My PD has roughly 143 officers. Serves a community of approximately 70,000 +/-.

SouthernFJR...we're watching...revenue collector you know... :coolsmiley:

...glad you knew I was being sarcastic... remembering *that* other thread.

Don't mean to side track the thread...

I'm not aware of a (4) carb/throttleboddy tuner electronic tuner. I think you're thinking of the TwinMax for Beemers and other two cylinder bikes.

The Mercury is the smoothest way to go, if there is an electronic one that's affordable, please post a link.
