I have been considering purchasing an Autocom, Baehr and a few others. This Autocom 50% off promotion that is going on right now seems pretty sweet.

I recently heard that Sierra Electronics (about 60 miles from me) in Troy, OH is a good electronics shop. Just called them the other day. They are are a J&M dealer and of course they felt that J&M is an outstanding communication integration audio product including their CB.

Has any one had any experience with J&M Or Sierra Electronics or heard of experiences by others? This is my first experience with audio equipment for a cycle. I've been following the numerous threads, but have heard very little mention of J&M or Baehr. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

I've read some pretty passionate messages regarding J&M's etthical practices, but I've also read over and over that the stuff works great.

I just got in on the autocom deal and I'm pretty impressed. Both with the quality and the customer service. I've been gettin by with a chatterbox for about 5 years.

Take the deal. Add stuff to it later if $ is tight.

I've been trying to justify the $ for the J&M for to long.

anyway..... baby's sreamin.

See this thread re J & M install:

Have installed fuse block and ground block in glove box and now find J & M sound very good. I play iPod through J & M with volume control on top of unit. Virtually no background noise and enough volume to hear with REAL QUIET ear plugs. Run with Shoei RF1000 with shild up and CE 4x3 flip raised about half, such that I see over and get no wind noise. Ear plugs eliminate most all road/engine noise. CB transmissions mute iPod during back and forth talk.
