Thanks to all that blazed the trail of the heat fix on the pre-06's. After following all the posts, I was inspired to go and play with the heat gun and some plexi. Here is my rough and humble take on jewel heat relief via wing directed air. It uses existing feej mounting locations, no permanent modification required. Just a strip of aluminum, some hardware, some teflon washers/spacers, a couple inches of double-sided tape, and some plexiglass.

Works well. Cool breeze while moving. 100+ mile an hour tested, Nascar approved. Adjustable.

Just a one-of-a-kind solution for me. It's an easy build though, if anyone were so inclined.
