Today's plan is to remove the plastic (first time) and throw parts at Naomi.
First up, fuel injectors. These came off KrZy8, a 2006, and have been cleaned and flow balanced. The factory spec is plus/minus 10% these are 0.4%!
The only problem is the injectors are different.
Very different. Looks like KrZy8 will get the good stuff!
Here's where they go, in case you haven't explored for yourself.
The crazy 2013 plastic.. What a shitty idea. Give me the fasteners any day. I had to call George, aka -G on the fjrforum, to see how to get the black cowling air-vent thingie a ma jig off. Turns out the brilliant Yamaha engineers placed a quick fastener at panel bottom. Great idea. Not.
Mine is broken. And another thing? No keeper on the male part. If it loosens up, it falls out.
Finally, all nekid.
Time for some new FZ1 antler mirrors.
Stock.
Lots of threads poking through. The FZ1 mirrors don't have nearly the length.
So then, where have the hidden the ECU? Not here!
Ahh, there it is, the other side. Yamaha has done better in that the RR is high and dry now, not under and near the rear wheel. Same for the ECU.
The 2014 ECU allows cruise control > 80 mph.. had to have it.
That's all for this week, it's 80 degrees F outside and I'm going riding on Wabs!
