I'll give you a thought, since you sort of asked. Here's my thought, which is to say, that thought which is mine, etc.( ref Monty Python sketch).
Well, everything is ****** up. Common sense don't make no sense no more. We could be on the verge of a civil war. I sure as hell hope not. The people who elected Trump are, by and large,quiet, mostly because they actually work for a living and have a lot of other cares, They don't have a lot of time for demonstrations. The previous administration basically rejected the values of the nascient Trump voters, hence bile built up inside them, but they were too busy to do much about it, because they were productively employed. But when the opporknockity (reference tongue twisting entertainment) arose, they voted for the biped who seemed to be concerned about what they in particular cared about. If anybody has never read about the goose that laid golden eggs, this would be a good time to google it.
