My son got rear ended coming off the fwy while away in San Diego to go to a concert. A 17 year old in his daddy's Jag plowed him so hard he was pushed into the car in front of him. The insurance company totaled the car. So I got to thinking, the boy is 150 miles away from home to go to a concert and gets plowed (he is almost 21 and a good driver). Though no fault of his own, why did he have to travel to San Diego, and why should he get the new car?

So long story short (I love being the dad sometimes), I am giving him my 2009 MazdaSpeed3 (he has to sell his CBR to pay for the difference, but he rarely rides it anymore, so no biggie) and I am getting a new to me car. More to come when I get it complete with pictures.

Guesses on the obligatory car for a 50 something guy? :dribble:

Glad your son is OK. He is getting a very nice car with the Mazda 3 Speed Edition. It runs the same tires as an FJR Darksider, so it can't be half bad. What type of car are you getting from him?

I'd go with the Camaro SS.

Glad to see you got a manual!

I've never owned a BMW (bike or car), but my brother in San Diego has had 3 of them (cars) and swear by 'em.

Have fun!

'Vette was my first guess, but someone beat me to it. What year?
2005 C6 with 3LT package, Z51 suspension, chrome rims, nav, heated seats, HUD, extra translucent top, tinted rear window, 17,000 miles. It is silver which is not my first choice, but I couldn't say no.
No Vista Cruiser? Really?

Loser!

That was a close second choice. How many miles on yours?
