Jer called me from Pagosa Springs, Colorado and wanted me to say thanks for the Birthday wishes on his behalf since he doesn't have an internet connection on the road. :bike:

I know it has been a while since my birthday, but I want to thank you guys for the birthday wishes. I was on my trip to Colorado at that time.

On my birthday my best friend Brent, we met in the second grade back in the stoneage, and I were ridng from Boise to Salida, CO with side trips. Just before we entered Rangely, CO we were stopped for speeding. The officer wrote us up for 75 and 72 in a sixty, but changed it to a warning as a birthday present to me. One of the best presents I have received. Glad he didn't catch us when we passed the group of Harleys a few miles up the road. They had a good laugh as they rode by us at our little stop. After the stop we continued to Grand Junction and spent the night.

Next morning we rode through Durango and spent the night in Chama, NM. Next morning we doubled back through Pagosa Springs, Lake City and Gunnison on our way to Salida. I rode a total of 3845 miles on the trip.

I forgot to mention the ride I took by myself from Salida to Leadville, then I-70 through Vail on the way to Glenwood Springs. From Glenwood Springs through Aspen and over Independence Pass back to Salida.

The next day to Colorado Springs and the cog rail train to the top of Pikes Peak.
