Now if she can just get her license. If she can't, got me a nice new ride.... :yahoo:

Very nice. Tell her congrats.

What is the seat height on that bike? One of the problems I had while bike shopping for my wife was seat height. Anything over 30-31 inches was to tall for her. She ended up with a ninja 650r.

Got the factory lowered and the low seat. 31.7 30.1 inches I believe. But it is a nice narrow seat. It goes down a good inch wet. She is bad short it she get's the balls of her feet on the ground nicely.

This is the Twin. It is actually the 800. Thing hauls pretty good ***. Had NO problem going 100 on it. Had plenty of pick up in 6th gear. Excellent bike.

That is really a nice bike you purchased for yourself your wife  Hmmmm Since my wife's B-day is coming maybe she could use a new DS thumper. :yahoo:

https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...=116905&hl= Congratulations on the new BMW F650GS Twin for your wife and you. You'll love this bike, I love mine; mi Salma Hayek is also silver. You can take this GS anywhere, light enough to ride Baja beach sand and great out on the highways too. 100 mph and 50 mpg, fantastic.

The Ride Report above is from my riding Salma to Real de Catorce in Central Mexico last year. Salma handled every dirt road on this long rough route with great ease!

Niiiiiiiiiiiiice...very niiiiiiiiiiiice....How tall is the better 1/2 though? My better 1/4 (not a wife yet) is pushing a whopping 5'4"...standing up straight. Just wondering how that bike measures up.

The true 650 (not the 800 that claims to be a 650) comes with a low frame option. My G650GS allows me to get the ball of my foot down on both sides at the same time. I'm 5'2" with a 26" inseam. The bike is very well balanced and doesn't feel at all top heavy. Even though I don't have a flat foot down, I'm very comfortable with the bike and OK with taking it off road.

Perhaps the better 1/4 might check one out at your local Kool-Aid merchant. If she already has her license, most BMW dealers offer test rides. This entry level Beemer comes with ABS and heated grips as standard.
