Kerrville first weekend in November?

I'm riding up to the Houston chapter of the Honda Sport Touring Assoc. group rally in Kerrville the first weekend in Nov and will be staying the weekend and coming back Sunday.

It's a nice rally with a good bunch of folks on all different brands of bikes. They stay at the Y.O. Ranch hotel and I will be staying at the Econo Lodge across the intersection from there.

Not this year for me... too little vacation left, what with taking the girls to see Mickey around Thanksgiving.

one more bump - should be a good weekend to ride.

it was a nice, cool ride up on Friday. Met Tom from La Grange and off we went.

Saturday it drizzled heavily all morning and most of afternoon so it was slick.

Four riders went down when they hit black tar patches on the road, a V-Strom, Beemer, '05 FJR and a VFR.

The Beemer rider went into a stream and had to be life-flighted to hospital.

The FJR slid off the road into a pole and crunched the gas tank and the right sight fairing plastice pretty good.
