Had a nice clear shot of Lassen today from LaPorte Rd. Looks like plenty of snow still up there on the south side, pictures man...we need pictures.

There is still a ton o snow up there. Wish I was on Laporte with ya. This granddaughter thing is seriously hindering my riding time! We did sneak off to the coast last Sunday. Out 299 for some lunch in Eureka at the Lost Coast Brewery and back.

I will see iffin I can't get a few shots soon.

Wow. Some buddies and I did a type of Bucket List ride down to Redding and back from Edmonton, Alberta in mid-May 2016.

I had this Lassen road on our route alternate roads list for fun if we found the time.

Maybe we'll finally get back for some more California exploration in 2018. <sniffle>

Redding is where the good roads begin, you do need to come back.

Redding is purgatory. It is so hot there because it is so close to burning hell.
The roads to riding heaven leave from Redding.
Yeah, butt it's a dry heat!

Redding is definitely hot and (mostly) dry lots of the time.

Just returned from a trip out through the WA Hwy 20 (Cascades hwy), and turned south through Omak, WA, then:

  • took WA hwy 155:
  • Cache Creek Road, hwy 21
  • Bridge Creek Road to Inchelium
  • hwy 3 back up to reconnect with WA Hwy 20 west of Kettle Falls
Hot, hot, conditions, but very much enjoyed this loop!
