it raining here :(

more than likely no bike ride for me, but i will show for lunch (just gotta borrow some keys)

Ditto. Home safe in spite of the weather and bloody LA traffic, etc.

I know we're pansies in SoCal. Rain most of the way there and back. Thanks Richard the weatherman.

I'll have to post another thread on the ride.

Great seeing Dan, Don, TC, Randy, Bill, Richard, Old Michael, and meeting Dean and two other Richard's (Redtail and Dr. Rich). Those IBA guys are nuts-O.

Dan - Don't you feel bad now after being one of the youngest members on the forum and seeing all those old men ride for hundreds of miles, and you, a local, drove a cage! :p  :D

Was not a perfect weather day and the southbound US 101 traffic to LA was bumper to bumper in nearly every lane. Still was great event and good to see so many old friends and make new ones. Thanks go out to Dean Tanji and his side kick Steve Hobart for taking care of all of us. The food was great. Hope to do it again next year. :p Happy New Year to all on the forum.

Just because you like soggy underwear does not mean I have to :p

and how did all that mud treat you guys?

some will wear it like an badge of honor

and some will be wiping out the soap and wax

Is there something wrong with this picture? Four hours to get there and six hours to get back.

All kidding aside, any day you can ride is a good day even with a few bad moments. Thanks Dean it was great to see everyone and have a good meal. Also thanks, Jerry for NOT putting on a rally for this RTE. The ride up and back was enough of a challenge.

I made it there and back again without a hitch. A little light rain, but not enough to make it through my gear. Really enjoyed seeing all the farkled up bikes and the comraderie of so many like minded people. Lunch was great, as well.

I stopped off at carpenteria state beach and checked out a campground for next week, and took a couple pictures.

Also hit the the holiday returning traffic coming home, but that stretch is like that every sunday in the summer, so I've come to expect it.

Thanks again to Dean, and anyone else who may have helped set this up. Looking forward to some long rides, and learning from the experience of others. Great way to spend the day!

Where did all these bloody people come from and where the hell were they going?

It was stop and go traffic from Ventura all the way to the 405.

I finally had enought and got off the freeway in Newbury Park when I crossed the

summit and saw nothing but brake lights as far as you could see.

Worked my way to Mulholland and came home that way. NO BODY was on Mulholland.

But 50' visibility at the top of the Snake on Mulholland IS NOT GOOD.

My route coming home; stayed on Hwy 1, to SR 135, to 101, to SR 154, back to 101.

It was beautiful until I got the summit on 154, from then on it was Fog, mist and crap.

the traffic was fked, spitting lanes for 20 miles sucks in the rain.oh and thanks barb for fixin my post, can always count on you to have my back....now what about the front.ha ha.

I made it home ok too. Did the foto thing then got home just at dark.

My big moment was on the way there. Gutter riding 229 (very narrow twisty road), I encoutered a full on tractor trailer taking all the road. I actually ducked my head, involuntarily, to miss his mirrors; didn't need to, but it was kinda close. After that, it was cakewalk.

A good time, will post RR later, nice to see everyone again!
