I was leaving the house this morning to meet up with a buddy of mine and my rear tire was flat. I put air in, and I could not hear any hissing so I road to meet him. We had some breakfast, came out and the tire was fine. We did see where there was a small piece of metal in the tire, but seemed sealed.
We left and road to go test ride some Harley's. Once done, check my rear tire and it still seemed fine. This 12:10PM on a Saturday, before Memorial Day on Monday.
I called the local Yamaha dealer, and they said they were booked up for two weeks, so they couldn't get me in today.
My buddy had gotten tires at Two Brothers Tires before, so we took a stab and took a ride to the their shop. We got there about 12:50 PM and they are listed as closed at 1PM on Saturday.
Not only did they get me in, they had the Michelin PR2s I wanted in stock. By the time we walked in and left, it was less than 1 hour and the tire prices were phenomenal.
Two new tires, 90 degree valve stems, balanced and mounted and in and out in less than an hour for about $409!
They are great guys and gave tremendous customer service. If you are in need of tires, I HIGHLY recommend these guys. Now I can ride this weekend without having to worry about my tires.
I know there are other FJR riders in the area that use these guys regularly too, and now I know first hand why.
