I bought an 05 and love it. Has a Corbin saddle and I am able to flat foot the bike despite a 30" inseam. I now suspect that the rear may have lowering links. Could someone provide me the actual length of the stock links for an '05?

Thanks so much!

Gen I dog bones are 6.5" bolt center to bolt center

Gen II dog bones are 7.5" bolt center to bolt center

If the dog bones are flat, coarsely manufactured parts that look like cheap stampings they are OEM. If the dog bones are finished, perhaps have a name stamped on them and look good they are aftermarket

If the dog bones are adjustable they are aftermarket.

... It is stock and I'm happily surprised...
So, how is the pre-load and sag set? And, how much do you weigh (if you feel that your weight might be relevant). The stock shock doesn't have a real long life, the spring is weak straight from Yamaha; if it is original and over 30k miles you may want to consider a replacement. The OEM shock isn't normally rebuildable. The guy that used to specialize in OEM shock rebuilding turned out to be a major low life slime-ball and won't be getting out of jail for a very, very long time.
