so, the fjr is now in my garage. :yahoo:

Can't wait to go on the first road trip (if it ever stops snowing...)

And bits and bobs I gotta have?

btw...I'm a virgin here. Never done this forum thingy. So if I'm not doing it right, somebody let me know. Gently. Thanks...

:dribble:

Welcome!!!!

Take plenty of pictures of your farkling sessions.

You'll have fun here...as long as you stay away from some of those people that dog-pile on Fridays.....I'd leave that day open for riding and stay off the forum. Less trouble that way.

Ride safe.

had 08 for a month, did throttlemeister, frame sliders, alu rack 4 givi bag. too chicken to even attempt some of the farkles i have seen on this forum. anyway good luck youll love riding this bike. by the way i got hammered on first post, didnt realize i had caps on.

Congrats! Welcome from Texas...Spring came early for us..hang in there the better weather is comming... and you can log some miles on that FJR...which is the.....!!!best bike in whole world!!!!

rnees - welcome and congrats on getting a great ride. seems like just yesterday that i got my 05, and to a great degree based upon what i had read on this forum. just an unbelievable vast amount of intelligent (and sometimes not so intelligent..... ) information available here. hey, these guys know more about the FJR than yamaha does!! :clapping:

happy and safe riding! jay

Welcome! Ok, here's how to do it right... (or... How to do the forum thingy, make good friends, and spend a fair sum of money.)

1. Open wallet

2. Find Credit Card

3. Find phone

4. Order one of every farkle (plus a spare of each if you're new to motorcycle riding - and maybe if you aren't)

5. Prepare to smile a lot (Your SO will think you're nuts - which produces a lot of fun reactions)

6. Install farkles, smile more (yep, more fun reactions from your SO)

7. Ride & enjoy (will you PLEASE wipe that smile off your face?!)

8. Take a lot of pictures and post them on the Forum thingy (But no smiling in the pictures because you'll look too goofy.)

 We're not crazy here. I promise...

 SR-71

Congrats.

Have had mine for 5 weeks, put 2300 plus miles on and have had her to the Pacific Ocean up to and in the Sierra Nevadas. Once you get your baby on the road, enjoy.

I've had my 07 since 1/07 and remember how damn excited I was. With 8k for the year I have no disappointments. Be careful and post pics.

Edit: All questions can and will answered on this site. Save Friday's forum!!
