I rode my 08 beauty to visit a customer's plant site for the day. Around 2pm, a worker came around complementing me on my bike and happened to mention that everyone at the plant had checked it out during lunch. I thanked him for the complement, told him a little about the FJR, and got back to work.

Around 5pm as I leaving for the day, I came to understand that "everyone at the plant had checked it out during lunch" by apparently climbing all over it. SOB! My poor bike was covered in scuff marks! I was so pissed!

There may be more to this story in that I realized later that the only other bikes on the plant site were the workers' Harleys. I hope they didn't scuff my "Jap" bike up intentionally, but they sure weren't careful with it.

There's not much that the customer's management could/would do about it, so I didn't say anything, other than blow off some steam here. Thanks for listening and ride safe.

That sucks.
Fucktards shouldn't be climbing all over somebody else's property.
Yeah, that's pretty much what came to mind at the time. I have never sat on anyone's bike without permission.

Can you imagine if the plant guys found me sitting on one of their precious chromey Harleys???!!!

If there is any damage, you might want to take it up with the plant's security department, who may well have video of the events . . .

If the lot is private and if you parked in a normal spot, the company there may be held accountable - if nothing else, you can express your disappointment at the lack of respect for private property and ask that they 'educate their people'.

Not much you can do.

Years ago, I parked in a mall to run in for 5 minutes, brand spanking new VFR, I had it about 3 weeks. Came out to see some F'nASSTARD with his 4 yr old son sitting on my bike. I snapped. The kid 'was' eating a purple popsicle that melted freakin' EVERYWHERE on the bike, how is that even possible! Nevermind the grips and stuff.

We almost got in a fist fight over it.. and he would have lost BAD. He started calling ME the *******! I'm getting pissed off again just thinking about it...

Rode away and went home and washed the bike.

Been there. That's why I suggested what I did . . .

Once found someone on my bike - I commented that it was a nice bike and asked what it was. he said it wasn't his and said he drove the car parked two over.

So I walked over to his car and carefully plunked my packages down on his shiny hood and turned to walk back. He got upset, got off the bike and was bellowing about the fact that I'd had a lot of nerve to put MY things on HIS car.

He shut right up when I told him I had nowhere else to put it, since he was sitting on my bike that cost more than his car. I DID explain that what he was doing was trespassing - I don't think he ever did that to anyone again.

I honestly hope I don't ever find someone sitting on my bike without permission :aggressive: , I know it's not right, but my first inclination would be to walk up and knock the living daylights out of them. :grrr:

Oh that just frosts my *** when someone feels "entitled" to plop themselves down on one of my bikes uninvited. Makes we want to smack them in the side of the head with my helmet. :axesmiley: :angry03: :***:

This is why a motorcycle alarm is a good idea; it'll trigger when they sit on the bike or when it's lifted off the side-stand. There are even many that give a warning just from someone standing very near the motorcycle.

although it also doesn't help that the raven '08 scratches so easily. my '04 in silver was a little more forgiving.

To hell with an alarm.

****y trap it, James Bond style.

You know - if an unauthorized someone sits on it, flames shoot out of the seat / grips and roast the bastage.

Or, instead of roasting 'em, pelt them with Fencer's Magic Strawberries.

Maybe an ejection seat... That'd be kinda neat.

I guess a cover would work, too, but where's the fun in that?!

Total lack of good manners by some people, is nothing private property anymore? what happens if some **** sits on your bike and it goes over on them? being America would they sue you the owner for their damages?

I always liked the idea of wiring it up to the battery, unfortunately the law would take the side of the trespasser.

Would a warning sticker help? Seems to have helped McDonalds avoid being sued (again) for serving hot coffee.

Then again...

How's that saying go....

Tell people you're from the government and you're there to help, and they'll believe anything you say.

Put up a "Wet Paint" sign, though...

I know that if I ****y trapped my bike I would be the first victim..I put a Gorilla paging alarm on the FJR and I always forget about it and set it off..Anyhew , if it calls me someday and some jag off is sitting on my bike I'll might be spending the night in jail. I do like the idea about sitting on the moron's hood if he has a car nearby!

That's what I love about Texas' castle law. Unfortunately, it would only apply if he's sitting on it in my driveway, but I could just shoot first and ask questions later.

I'd be less upset about someone touching my girlfriend than touching my bike.

Bluestreek has a proximity alarm on his bike. When I'm even close to it while stowing things on my bike his "chirps". Evidently it's worth the investment.

It's highly unlikely you are going to change neanderthal human behavior and even less likely you will be able to ingrain manners into their psyche or respect for others into their personal behavior, so consider protection for your beloved machine.

Some people just have a complete lack of respect. :angry2:

But I did like the above quote. If it happens to me I might do the same thing. :assassin:
