A little background: My employer, the City of Fresno, has just issued directives to all department heads to develop and present plans for a 5 percent cut for this, and next, year's budget. Tough times all around...

I very rarely ride with this bunch, as they generally just make me nervous, escept for Jester, the one guy who owns an FJR. Go figure.

Be careful if you visit Fresno....

It looks like some over sensitive cop thinking he's being bashed for doing his job. I only hope we pull out of our economic slump quickly so people don't have to be overly creative about generating revenue.

To say that the police authority is never abused is obserd. You may have heard about the St George police department here in St louis county they recently got national recognition for this scandal. click The department was notorious for speed traps and other revenue generating activities. I say (was) because as of jan 09 they are shut down :yahoo: and the town of St George is now contracting St. Louis county for their services.

There are those that protect and serve with common sense and those that blatently abuse the power they took an oath to be granted.

Wow canyonman,

That was a scary video. Unfortunatly (or maybe fortunately) the general public has a tendency to take the officer's word over the alleged criminal. I love and hate police all at the same time. I'm sure the same could be said about any profession though.

There's not a whole lot I can think of that galls me any more than abuse of authority by a person in a position of power [particularly a public position]!! Complete & total lack of professionalism!
