Hi folks,

I'm making a 1.5 day run from Baltimore, MD to Rogersville, TN. I was planning a short day 1 into the Lynchburg VA area and wanted to see if anyone had a recommendation for lodgings. Something clean and decent; perhaps close to a decent restaurant. In addition to Lynchburg I'll consider Bedford and Roanoke as a stopping point.

OK, what have you got?

I'm not apposed to that idea on a solo trip; but I'll have the wife aboard so it will have to be a hotel, B&B, or Inn.

Not sure of your interests, but Bedford is the home of the D-Day museum. That town lost a fair number of soldiers that day in 1944. I'm in Stafford and plan to take a trip there and to Appomattox this summer. Suggest you google Virginia B&B and you'll get plenty of info.

Great bed & breakfast right outside of homestead. A group of us stayed there last Sept. Cycle friendly owners. Even provided soap , water, and towels to clean our bikes. It is called vine cottage Inn. It is located in bath county. They have a web site [email protected]. By the way the breakfast was fantastic. CIRV

Thanks All for the comments. I quess I was a little late posting as I'm already through Bendford. Thanks for the suggestions though I'll keep them in mind for my next pass through the area.
