Long Distant Trips

I am a new member. Like many others I have enjoyed the wisdom,resources,tech information,advice.....

of this forum. Having said that, with my recent interest in I.B.A. and other LD rides, I was wondering if

there already exist or if there is a interest in a Night Stay Program.

ie.

I live in West Palm Beach, FL, I have a seperate guest house, I could add my name,location to a forum exclusive

list to help others out in their travels (A place to stay) The forum under LD Riding/Iron Butt could start a

new catagory call it say" Road Resources" or something, and members volunteer whatever Resources they

could give to assist others. I realize some long time members have already have got connections but this could

help others. Advice on local shop to change tire, good place to eat, best bypass ...Is there any interest???

FJR Assistance list provides many of these items currently.

Like twistedcricket said, the FJRAssistance list provides what you're asking and more (who has tools, trailer, etc.). I print out the latest and take it with me on long trips.

Thankfully, I haven't had to use it in an emergency (touch wood).

I'll be bringing my FJR Assisstance list on my XC trip in September. Hope I don't need it but nice to know its there.

Careful using that FJRAssistance list you can end up making lifelong friendships.

Byran and Tiffany turned what could have been a very expensive mechanical failure in Fairbanks into a highlight of our recent Alaska adventure.
