looking for 08/09 ae to live the dream

Here is the short version of my story. I am 51 and was paralyzed in a motorcycle racing accident in 2005. I currently ride a can am spyder. It gets me on the road but I miss riding a real bike. I have dreamed about riding with my son's on a long trip. I recently picked up a zr7 for my son and now I want to build a fjr ae for myself. I will put leg up landing gear on it and a back up system also. This will cost me at least $7500. I am looking for a 08/09 ae with low miles. It must be a automatic.

So far the ones I have found on the west coast where I live (manteca ca) are being sold by shops and are over priced. So if anyone out here on the west coast wants to sell there's let me know. I am willing to drive about a 1000 miles to pick it up. Thanks for reading 209-740-3228

Don't know if this will help, but Ride Motorsports in Woodinville (Seattle area) WA has a new '09AE on the floor. Didn't look at it very closely so I don't know if it's a CAL model or not. You'd have to figure a way around the CA 7500 mile import restrictions somehow.

Give them a call...never know if it's a CAL bike they purchased at auction.

No fjr. I just bought a new fj09. This will be my project bike. It's alot lighter. Thanks for your replies.
