Hello all, i am going crazy trying to find the picture of this setup. I should have saved the link that showed the pictures, but now i cannot find it. I am ready to have one made but cannot remember where i saw it to reference. Basically how i remember this GPS setup, is it is a solid aluminum rod about 1" in diameter, about 4-6 inches long. It was spun on a lathe to make the ram ball as part of the post. Then a flat piece was attached to the non ball end. The flat peice spanned and mounted across the 2 tank mount bolts just behind the stem nut. I like this setup because it does not rotate with steering, it is stationary like your dash is during steering. If anyone has the link to the post with the pictures showing what i described i would appreciatte it. Thanks!

There's a photo here in this thread: CLICKY HERE

Unfortunately, there is no information about it. Thought there was another thread somewhere where somebody gave more info.

Here's what I did.

I bought 1/2 inch steel rod stock from Home Depot. I cut a 5 inch length of it. In the top and bottom, I tapped holes. On the top, I put a Ram Ball. For the bottom, I took a 4 inch piece of aluminum flat stock, 5/8 inch wide, and made it span across the two tank mount bolts, and drilled holes for them. Lastly, I drilled a hole in the center of the flat stock and made it countersunk from the bottom. A screw comes up from this hole into the rod. I spray painted the whole thing except the Ram Ball the same silver as the frame. I looks fine and works great.

Total cost was likely $10. Total time to make was probably a 1/2 hour. I'm not good at posting pictures otherwise I'd do it. Hopefully you can understand what it looks like from the text.
