Installed a Penske @ something like 30K km (-ish)
The stock shock appears to be in pretty good shape -- I've never had a pillion, or carried a lot of luggage, or beaten the feej on real nasty, bumpy, gritty roads. I tend to avoid wet riding, (had enough of that when I lived at the wet coast!), and have always kept the bike clean. I don't ride all that aggressively, and tip the scales at 170lbs
I recently sold my OEM fork cartridges to dcarver, and I doubt very much if I'll ever use the stock shock
cyclepartswarehouse lists replacement OEMs for Gen II at $677. Mine is what you might call lightly used, so make me a reasonable offer...
