Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but as I get my new 09 tomorrow, I need to start looking for ways to get her serviced (I live in a condo and don't have a place to work on her myself) I'm going to see how the techs at the dealer I'm buying from are, but I've had so many bad dealer expirences over the years (with many different makes/models) that I really have a hard time trusting them with such an expensive machine....

So let the opinion rants begin :)

Over the years I've had pretty good service from Hanover Honda. They never messed anything up.

If you want to come north to CT you can always go to Libby's in New Haven. They have serviced mine since new. Aug 02

Ramsey yamaha...I dont let anyone touch my bikes but they took care of my recalls and I was impressed. I also know a buddy who is the most picky person when it comes to his bikes.... he used to work there and recomends them to everyone...they are pricy though!!!!!

Thanks :)

Sadly Ramsay is out as myself and a friend have both had bad experiences there..... I have an appointment for my 600 mile service for Friday morning at Hanover, Here's hoping they can do simple stuff (I don't have time or space to do stuff myself... :( )

Thanks :)

Sales there is fantastic. They've got a good selection and knowledgeable sales staff. The parts guys are good too - always helpful.

Service dept is so so. I never get a warm fuzzy feelirng having my Honda and Yammy serviced there. It's close - so it's my only choice for warranty work. There's really not another option but I can't really put in a plug for their service. Maybe I've just had bad luck.

Doesn't help that I had an appointment to get the ignition recall done today, dropped the bike off this morning and I just called to learn the bike hadn't even been looked at. Not sure why since I made the service appointment weeks ago and arranged special to work from home so I could drop it off. I'm probably just cranky not having my bike on such a nice night!

Good luck - I'm hoping my bike's not still sitting there on Friday when yours goes in.... hopefully I have it back tomorrow with all the recall work done w/o issue. Like I said, it's the only game in town.....

They did ok with with the service, I'm trying to do work myself whenever possible...Next oil change is in 800 miles, hope i can find a place to do it :(

I use the Yamaha dealer in Pompton Plains on Rt 23. I have had all of my work done there and have only the best things to say about them. The head service manager is a fanatic when looking over my Feej during a service.

No worries, I am off from work with the new baby, why don't you give me a ring...you could use my garage....

When did you pick up the bike? I recently had it serviced there too and my experience was pretty good too...I picked mine up on thursday.
