I have put about 80 miles on the bike and have noticed a few things. The heat may be an issue when it is hot but it is tolerable now. The bike had a riser on it that looks to be about 1". I am riding with too much weight in my hands. This is hurting the bottom part of my hands and they have also started cramping on me. The other thing is my lower back felt like I have been out picking cotton all day but I think they will go away as I use those muscles more. The last thing is the buffeting from the windshield. With it all the way up I am getting alot of turbulent air at the top of my helmet. I think some of the aftermarket shields will take care of that. I don't know the proper posture for riding this bike. I am not comfortable in the laying down position. I think this bike will be alot of fun if I ever learn how to ride it properly and put on the right stuff. Any suggestions would be appreciated. T.

Grip puppies and a cal sci screen. BUT, you'll still have to trade me your bike. I could use the heat it throws right about now...*L*

Welcome Big- T. Definately look into the grip puppies, just watch when it gets rainy and cold. Do a search for " master yoda riding position", it'll help with the lower back an improve your endurance. Also look into removing one revolution on the throttle spring, it helps prevent hand cramp because most find the spring too stiff.

if you google the "master yoda riding position" your back will thank you. also, you may want to ease up on your grip strength. the rest of it is making it suit you. have fun.

I'm 6'2", 32" inseam. I have risers that raise my bars.

I also have a CeeBailey windscreen, +4+2 (4" higherx2" wider) Link Here.

And I use Skyway spacers that slightly raise the front of my windshield so I get fresh air across the top of my tank (in an attempt to mimic the vent's function of the GenII bikes). Skyway Link

Use the "Master Yoda" riding position (Linked here) until your muscles adjust.

The above changes work well enough for me and I ride in 100+ temps in CA's Central Valley.
