In Georgetown, KY, Loud pipes may get you 25 to Life!!!
Prosecutors told jurors yesterday morning that David Dressman was involved from the beginning in a plot to kill his girlfriend's mother, going so far as to ask how to kill someone quietly.
Then, jurors listened to Dressman's defense attorney say Dressman was targeted by police and prosecutors who should have spent more time considering other suspects.
"I know they made him to look like a monster, but he's not a monster. He's a 22-year-old boy," defense attorney Chris Olds said.
Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Lee Greenup told jurors they would hear how Dressman consulted Timothy Crabtree on how to kill Diane Snellen, and how Dressman later obtained a knife from his dishwashing job at a Frisch's restaurant in Georgetown days before Snellen was found stabbed to death. Crabtree, who is serving a six-year prison term as part of a plea deal with prosecutors, is expected to testify.
The defense will attempt to raise the possibility that Snellen's ex-boyfriend, Todd Johnson, is responsible for Snellen's death. Snellen had just broken up with Johnson, who had a key to the house and who rode a Harley-Davidson™ motorcycle. The distinct sounds of a Harley-Davidson™ engine reportedly were heard in the neighborhood that night, Olds said.
