Just an FYI for those that might want to watch some motorcycle racing other than on TV:

Aug 30 and 31 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, NH.

Races start at noon both days.

$25 gets you into the pits and unlimited access to the NHMS grounds.

I believe kids 12(?) and under get in free.

Feel free to stop on in to Zip Tie Alley and say "hi"......north garage, bay 9 (look for the Zip Tie Alley banner)

See Loudon Road Racing Series' website for more details--> www.lrrsracing.com

There's a cookout (and beer) after the races on both days and you're free to do a track walk once the racing's done.

Whoops! Sorry about posting in the wrong section.

sullivan- Thanks man! It's always a great time up there.....like a 3 day break from reality (set up Friday, go home Sunday)

bump

If anyone's planning on heading up Sunday, let me know before Friday so I can get you $10-off coupons or, at the very least, a way to contact me so I can get you the coupons at the gate.

It's looking like the weather's going to be perfect this weekend! :yahoo:

Thanks for the offer. I wish I could make it. I always wanted to get to Loudon for the races and something else comes up every year. Maybe next year.

You might be confusing said "races" with the Loudon Classic (which runs around the time of Laconia Bike Week).

This is a CCS event that's held on a number of weekends during the summer months.

Last LRRS race weekend of this year is Sept 27th and 28th.

Keep it in mind.

bergs; will you be there at the end of September? i would like to try to get out there then. is there a place to camp there? i would have to make it as cheap as possible being the week after EOM and the amount of farkles i am putting on the bike in preparation.

"Will I be there" is a loaded question. I had a minor "disagreement" with turn 1 and have some work to do on my bike.

I'm not sure if I'll be racing, but I'll certainly be in the Zip-Tie Alley garage, at the very least.

There's usually plenty of camping space. Just pick a spot for your tent and set up shop.

Bergs,

What do you race? I run a KTM 625smc and Husaberg FS650 motard. Have not been up there this year due to playing on SM tracks. All packed to race Loudon this weekend, but deciding on whether to spend money to ride in the rain. I am in gargae 20 and 21 with SPEEDBIKE Racing. If I go, I'll look you up.

Nice! Are you on NESR by any chance?

I race a 2002 F4i in Novice.

Come ride in the rain! I'm pretty stoked about it. Good opportunity to practice smoothness...

I'll swing thru and try to find you.

I'm lazy and decided not to change tires over to rains. There is a sm race next weekend at englishtown and one after at ovrp that I will go to. I can groove my sm slicks to run kart track in rain, but for Loudon I would need rains for the higher speeds. Sorry Bud, I'm gonna pass. See you next year.

Good Luck this weekend!!

You bum! I could have had you a set of full rains.

Regardless, be safe out there and I look forward to meeting you in 2009!
