The G2 throttle tube I ordered the other day just arrived. When I install it should I use any sort of lubricant under it, or just slide it onto the handlebar dry?. I know the OEM nylon tube is sort of self lubricating, but will the aluminum G2 tube start to get stiff after a while without lubricant?

I used a 100% silicone spray on mine. The carrier evaporates away and just leaves a film of silicone. Don't use oil, grease or WD-40. They will collect dirt and cause your throttle to get sticky. My .02

+1 on Silicone Spray, just make sure you clean the bar thoroughly first with Brake Cleaner, Ether or similar.
