Anyone live there... or have any relatives, friends, enemies...etc?

My kid is in a national drum and bugle corps competetion in August, and the only rooms left are about $500 for four nights... I'd settle for a room, a backyard, whatever... I was planning on camping, but so far I haven't even been able to find any campgrounds... sheese...

I'lve already spend enuf this year on hotels... <BG>

Put 5400 miles on the Harley so far since I left Hi...

MUCH nicer riding in straight lines than round and round in circles....<RBSEG>

Thanks

Mary aka Krashdragon

I have friends who used to live there, but are there no longer. However, you might consider camping at Blue Mounds State Park. It's about 20-30 minutes outside Madison, but has showers/water/toilettes. You might also consider looking in Mt. Horeb--that's where my friend used to live, and again it's about 15-20 minutes from Madison. I think there's a hotel there. Here is the visitor info site for Mount Horeb.

Cool! What Corps is your kid in? What does he/she play?

I marched 27th Lancers many many many many many many many years ago.

What a great activity for the countrys youth. Friendships for life!

Sorry I didnt' replay sooner.. I'm not getting notified of some posts to the forum...

He's in the Sacramento Mandarins, plays a trumpet... but he will age out this year...

I'm going to run out to Cali to seehim this summer, then to Pa later, then to Madison...

Any excuse for a ride... <BG>

He was at the Unive of Hawaii, but will go to Cal State Northridge for a year or two ...I sometime have no idea what that child is doing.. Ok, Chris is 21, but to a mom the're always children!<BG>

The only bad thing is he wants another bike... he's already wrinkled two, but neither accident was his fault... so I cant' even get mad at him.... oh well.... so trying to find a non sportbike sportbike...maybe a Bandit 600.

Thanks for asking,

mary.

Yeah, camping is ok... I already spent over two weeks on the road this year and spent enuf $$$ on motels...and I'm not even counting the two nights we spent in Las Vegas!

I did find a KOA campground... I'm not doing camp, just watching! <BG>

Thanks
