OK, it's like this...

Because my in-laws are severely geographically impaired, we want to get them a GPS for Christmas.

Because I'm a cheap *******, I certainly don't want to over spend.

Buy.com has this baby for $176.99 after rebate. ($196.99) if I never send in the rebate, or if I do and I don't ever get paid.

If I recall some people had issues with this unit. Is it good enough for use in the car, and good enough for old people to use in the car? Will they just flat out hate it? They have borrowed and used my Quest before.

Any input appreciated.

Old people? I resemble that remark. You young whipper snapper. :) Now, get off the lawn.

Perhaps I should rephrase; old, technology challanged folks. If you ride a motorcycle and you are here then you have more spunk and more smarts as well as attentive ability. (At least I would hope). Like I said, they have used my Garmin and done OK, but I need to know that this thing is at least as accurate and reliable as the Quest.

Don't get me wrong I love these folks and for in-laws they aint too bad.

I think I recall reading or hearing somewhere tha it doesn't route too well, and that's as bad as them not having a GPS if you know what I mean.

:D
