Today, I passed through 15k miles on my new to me in April 06 FJR. I've only had one other bike that accumulated more miles in a shorter period of time, that's my *gasp* 1991 HD FLHTCU. But back then I made more money and had more time off so I could take 3-7 week trips and pound out miles; and, be able to afford it. Sigh. I'm not better off now than I was then. Warning.. I'm about to get political.. Correction.. NOT!

Still, for me, 15k mile point has some kind of special meaning.. Not sure why.. Perhaps it means the honeymoon is over.. Now for the true grit of the relationship.. Kind of like getting married and hitting the 5 year point... now you really find out how compatible you are.. Fortunately for me, me and Crzy8 seem to be doing much better than my marriages..

Funny thing... 4 days a week I ride Crzy8 to work.. my transportation, even when cold and I don't want to. Kinda of like riding the old wife, even when you don't want to... but you know you should.. just to keep the gig going. Then the weekend rolls around and all you want to do is roll in the hay with the mistress... and she's the same gurl as weekday wife... I rode 380 miles today and was really wanting more.. but then again, I have the Candy Butt Association to represent... :D

The FJR really puts out, eh?

A chef on the commute and a whore in the twisties! :brunette:

This ensures that my future AE won't make either wrist hurt. :yes2:

I don't think this should be in this section. This is FJR specific enough for me!

When I hit 15k miles my thought was, "Good thing she's gonna last me 2ook."

:)

Way to go Don, I thought I was putting on the miles with 10,000 since May (I get only 6 days off from work each month). I hope the weather is good enough to continue riding throughout the winter months. All these roads...so little time.

Congrats Don!

Just FYI... I just clicked over 20k since May 1. :D

No, that does not include the 1,200 she had on her when I bought her at one year of age!

BTW, I'm a plural too (marriageS). But contrary to what my Daddy always told me, I may actually be able to wear this one out! (the FJR) :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Throttle up Dude, it's your turn to lead.
