Maplights And Clipboards

Now that I've done my first rally I'm thinking about the gadgets and organization to save time and be more comfortable.

First, maplights. I bought a red LED battery powered unit and it kind of worked, but was floppy as it set in my tankbag and totally freaked me out when I first used it. I couldn't figure out where my page full of bonus answer were until I remembered that I wrote in red Sharpie and it was invisible under the red light.

So, I saw a couple bikes at the rally with map lights bolt mounted to the handlebars. Anybody know what they are or have a suggestion of a hardwired, hard-mounted system?

Second, I saw some of the riders have their packets on clipboard also either mounted to their handlebars or maybe affixed to their tank bags. They could keep riding and write answers as they went. Makes total sense. Any idea on some of the options out there?

I am investigating the terralight at:

and some I've seen are using the Hella map light (rallylights.com).

Lots of choices out there depending on how you want to mount, etc. I've used a small LED light on the zipper of my riding gear before with success but is a bit awkward.
