I've posted before about the oddball contents of the California Scientific website. Mark, CalSci's bossman, is an interesting guy who has built a very informative website that goes far beyond motorcycle windscreens and the other products he makes. FAR beyond. So today, a friend of mine sent me a link to a surprising article about an official decision by the Catholic Church to name a "Patron Saint of Motorcycling," one Columbanus of Babbio. Here's the link to CalSci's website and the info on C of B.

I wasn't even sure I was ready to believe this. Suspected it was a holdover from April first, but here's confirmation from Wikipedia.

What you do with this information is up to you; I merely pass it along. And I almost didn't. I can just anticipate whatever Beemerdons is going to say about the reason Columbanus left Ireland. I'm sure he'll find a way to make the Saint's problem a universal one for all Irishmen. Columbanus of Babbio. He WAS good with beer, though.

Is he wearing a doo-rag in that stained glass? And is that the Holy Factory Service Manual in his arm?
