No stranger to handguns, mainly .45 and .40 calibers, I was excited the first time I had the opportunity to fire a .50. AMC I believe it was. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to watch another newbie fire it just before I did. Not a small guy either. But after watching how bar back the pistola came towards him from the recoil, I was damn sure to have a death grip on that thing when I fired it.
I'll never forget how much it kicked. But it didn't move all THAT much.
Truth be told, I gave myself a fat lip at the range the first time I shot my first gun which was a 12 gage Mossberg with a pistol grip. I've got a Walter PPK too.
