I looked around a bit and tried to get info on the ft/lb torque on the highway pegs. Don't want to over or under torque the bolts.

Tks ahead for the info.

Assume that you are talking about these?

Which "bolts" are you asking about? The three socket head cap screws on each side, or the one larger single hex bolt that holds the peg to the plate?

The three cap screws are just the engine side cover screws. Spec for those is 8.7 ft-lbs, but I've never bothered to torque them and risk stripping out the cases. Just good'n tight will do fine.

The bigger hex bolt is part of the aftermarket accessory, so no torque specs in the manual for that. Just go with the generic recommendation for whatever thread size it is (not sure what size it is).

Generic torque values:

bolt diameter ft-lbs

6mm 4.3

8mm 11

10mm 22

12mm 40

14mm 61

16mm 94

That... My friend... IS the answer I was looking for! I was looking for the torque for the engine side cover screws.

Tks Fred

A "picture perfect" answer... ;-)
