Some have done it. I looked at the 880 at a local dealer, the tire looks kind of square to me, like if you was to lean on it and crank the throttle you wouldn't have a lot of rubber on the ground.

I've run the ME880 Radial as have many others. Good wear but possibly the lousiest choice for traction. I haven't heard of anyone running the Bias tire you've listed and I would advise against running any bias tires on the FJR.
