Posted for info only, I am not affiliated with the Blue Knights of Oregon.

Detective Nunnenkamp was killed when a careless driver crossed the center line of a two-lane highway. I didn't have the privledge of personally knowing him, but I plan to make every effort to participate in this ride. The guy had quite a terrific reputation for the work he did in the area of child abuse investigation and for that, he's got my respect. Here are the details: (I can email the flyer on it that I received if you're interested and PM me with an email address)

FJRPIG -

Thx for the heads up on this; I went down for the ride (from Puyallup) and had a great time! I'd never been on an organized ride before and learned much. The little things - like it seems the group tends to become as stupid as the most stupid member; I did some stupid things along w/the group.

It was a beauty day and a very nice ride. I didnt know the area or any1 there so just piggybacked onto a group of 10. I had no GPS or maps, the directions were a pain, and we made several wrong turns but I really didnt care. I had a ton more gas than any of the cruisers and I never knew where we were so I was lost the whole time.

I met some great people and saw some nice bikes. I was the only FJR present, my group was all Harley or metric-cruisers. Two Honda ST's, a Ducati ST4, and one of the new Norges. I put 400 miles on my new bike and loved every one of them!! Cant wait to do it again. Think I might look into maps and a few other details.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do this when the time came. Pretty cool, huh? Post up about a ride, then not do it. Yikes, I felt one inch tall. :(

Glad you could represent the FJR community.
