Has anyone tried this tire on the FJR. The load rating is the same as the Pilot Road II. Side walls are the same as PRII. I just see a difference in the traction and tread design.

You could try it, but I ran regular PP's on my 01 FZ1 and they were toast by 3.5-4k miles. Stuck like glue, but don't last long. Depends on how often you're willing to change tires.

Thanks for the reply. Its an expensive lesson to learn, I'll be more carefull when I order next time.

Yyyyyup! Bought my '05 in mid-May 2010 with only 4400 miles on the clock and the PO had just put a set of PP 2cts on her to sell it. At exactly 7400 miles, I was peeling those off and putting on the PR2's because the rear was toast and the front was just starting to cup. They were awesome tires from a traction standpoint but the FJR will just eat them up.

Did you buy them already? If so, just turn them on craigslist, or BARF, or one of the local OC sportbike forums. Those guys will eat those up...they love 'em!!

Yes, I had a set on my 04. Only lasted 8 weeks and 4500 miles. Had to change them both while on a trip.

Yep I've mounted them several times on my bike, I like um. I get about the same miles from the PP's as PR2's, Storms I & II, Stradas, Roadsmarts whatever it makes no differance!

I run these on my 04. Super grip and I've gotten good miles out of them. I don't ride as hard as some but I have been very happy with them.
