Yup, sure have.I've ridden both years.Rob Nye the Rally Master and his folks put on a great event.(Rob is very BMW biased, but we don't hold that against him :D :D )They will send you all over New England. A couple bits of advice, make sure your paper work is in order ie.Valid Bike Registration,Inspection and Insurance Liability Limits.(I've done a couple of rallys in Canada and it works both ways.)Also book your hotel rooms ASAP,,They sell out Rally HQ early and that part of Mass. is expensive and booked heavy that time of the year.

Thanks for the info. We booked our hotel a couple months ago. It will be my first rally so my first priority is just to finish.

Thanks for ALL the info gypsy+ChrisW+awryders. I just sent-off my $$ and booked my room too. I rode to Sturgis last year and the EOM. I've done 650 miles as my max in the past. Hope to just get-in the 1K this year.

I checked the rules and increased my liability from 20K/40K to 100k/300K to meet the required insurance(only cost me an extra $75). Looks like they will give us 1st times enough time to down load our GPS's before we get to the Greenfield Inn.

I think(hope) the stock lights are ok for all the night riding! I will also try to bring some Canadian coins too!

The season up north here is nearing and the season rides are being planned. I was accepted to participate in this year's Minuteman 1000. Any thoughts as to the route for the SS1K. I understand that is was similar for the past two years. Any information would be appreciated and beers could be supplied. From what I have read it sounds like a great event and I can't wait. B)

Hey Fellas,,The Mm SS1K route is pretty easy(I did it two years ago 2-up  ).I believe they used the same one last year. You can change the route a bit if you want to for bonus locations, but you have to go to the mandatory check points..That being said, the basic route goes from Greenfield,Mass north to Swanton,Vt. east to Portland Me. south to Warwick,RI east to New Haven, CT north back to Greenfield.Rob and his crew cover all questions at the rally meeting. ;) They do a great job.. Good luck and have a good time !!!!

Awryders, thanks for the updates on the route. I look forward to riding with everyone. What time did you finish the ride? Also how many breaks too?

Hello,Yello,,Umm lets see  ,My wife and I finished in plenty of time maybe with 2or3 hours to spare.

(Take into consideration my wife is an outstanding passenger. She's traveled to the southwest,California,Northern Canada etc..She's done a number of 1200-1500 mile days.) We didn't chase bonus points, just enjoyed the day.My mother-in-laws  house is in Northern Vt. on the SS route,so we stopped for a visit. Also a few gas stops and a visit to Max's BMW shop in N.H.(which I think was a mandatory)All in all a fun day !!

I'm heading-up Friday for the SS1K ride. Should get in around noon to 2pm.

I'm glade to see they are posting our routes early. See you at the Greenfield

Friday(blue 05 with CT plates and topcase).

Been there done that...................got the t-shirt.

What a blast. Every FJR rider should try to attend this event. Rob & company did a great job organizing this event. They even ordered some damp weather to make sure the riders could appreciate true endurance riding. The 700 mile trip home yesterday gave me plenty of time to think about the rally and the folks attending. These LD riders are a very dedicated group to the sport of LD riding. Pleanty was learned and thanks to Joe for all the bullsh*t, I mean words of wisdom. B)
