This isn't exactly sport touring, but it's a great event. Saturday is a fun long poker run and then bands and food afterward. The ride on Sunday is a parade culminating in a lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, then more bands, food, etc.

Matt - I can't come to Indy but I will be one of your sponsors. I'll call you soon.

Chester

Chester, I don't need a sponsor. I already paid up for my donation to enter the poker run, parade (Indy NOT hot lap) and festivities. Thanks for the offer.

Riley's is the place all the tough Peds cases go here in Indiana. Great facility and definitely a worthy cause. Feel free to donate. You can do it right on the website using PayPal, I think.

PBR, you don't need new tires for this ride. In fact, you could do the poker run (remember most these guys ride HD's and will barely do the speed limit) from southern Indiana up to Indy, then motel it, parade at the track (about 5 miles at about 2 mph... need a good CLUTCH and POPEYE ARMS for the lever.... until I get my AE), then have a nice ride back home. Surely you still have 200 miles on your tires? Heck, I got take offs that have more that 200 miles left on them sitting in my garage! I also have a plug kit. :p

If you can't make it this year, it's usually the weekend after the 500 every year. ;)

Mike, I don't camp on this one. I live close enough and like to ride enough that I just go home (about 70 miles). I actually don't do the late night stuff, so I head home about dark. Unless one of my sportbikin' divorced buddies wants to stay out and play. Then I'll flop with the jet jocks.

I'll bet camping would be a hoot. Mostly a Harley crowd, and that can be REALLY interesting. Lots of folks motel it, though.

I'm starting in Bloomington. I may break off from the crowd, go down 135 and back into town the "back way", THEN go up to Indy to watch the knuckleheads.

I thought Edinburgh might be your choice. Although you are welcome to hook up in Btown and I can show you all the best roads in Indiana (all 20 miles of them.... :-( )
