I'm re-posting my question under a new thread "Windshield Movement".Well, my dealer finished assembling my bike yesterday with whatever parts they got from Yamaha and the remaining parts taken from another new FJR they had in stock. I've been waiting for over 3 weeks for all the parts to come in and the ETA on the balance was at least another 2 weeks, so I was glad the dealer agreed to take the parts from their other bike. Now I feel like I have a whole bike.
Question:
When in the lowest position, do the windshields on these bikes move a lot (front to back) while traveling at speed. Mine seems to flop around a lot when in the low positions but the movement is reduced as the shield is raised and stops completely when in the highest position. This is especially true when riding in windy conditions.
Also, do any of you notice any rattling or clunking from the shield when traveling over bumpy ground when it's in the low position?

The other machine hadn't come in yet when I took delivery on my machine. The understanding I had with the dealer was that I would get the parts from whatever source presented itself first. At first, it looked like my parts order would make it first. But, all the parts didn't come in at once and there were still some outstanding when the second (and last) FJR came in. So, I got some parts from both sources.Glad to hear you're on the road.Well, my dealer finished assembling my bike yesterday with whatever parts they got from Yamaha and the remaining parts taken from another new FJR they had in stock. But if they had to canibalise another machine for the 'last' parts, why did they make you wait all this time in the first place? They could just have taken everything they needed from the other machine, no?
