MODES?

I'm not a huge fan of the modes.  Since I ride a Gen I, Gen II, and a Gen III, I can compare them.  Gen III sport mode is like my Gen I or Gen II.  Tour mode is just slow, which makes sport mode seem better than it is.  I guess it would be somewhat useful for rain.  Other than that, gimmick.

For my AS (would be AE for you if you could have one 😏), I use Touring mode when negotiating tight hairpins, U-turns and the like. Without the possibility of feathering the clutch, the on-off throttle transitions of Sport mode can be unsettling. Touring mode makes things much more manageable.

For almost every other time, Sport mode is much safer, the immediate throttle response means the bike does what you want it to do, NOW.
