I was thinking about buying the Sena SMH10 bluetooth helmet intercom and removing the speakers and replace them with a 3.5mm jack so I could connect my own earphones. Has anyone attempted something like this? I have some basic soldering skills, but I am sure those wires are pretty small. Would there be a problem with the volume being too loud since I suspect it takes less to drive the earphones? The SMH10 has a really positive review on Webbikeworld and I like how it is possible to charge while riding.

I know with Autocom to put a 3.5mm plug in you had to solder a 180 ohm resistor inline with left and right leads (1 resistor per lead) and then heat shrink all together
