Some of you may have already seen reference to my big trip on other threads. I just started a five week trip from NJ to Western Canada....

I'm on day 3 and am having the time of my life. The bike (and farkles) are working flawlessly (knock on wood). Whatever success I'm having I have to attribute much to the fine gents on this site that have elevated my knowledge of the bike and helped me doing many things I could not achieved on my own. To help say thanks, I'd like to do some sharing.

Before my trip, I setup a blog for my family. I later extended it to close friends. On the condition that any comments be kept clean for kids, etc. I welcome all of you to come along on this great trip via my blog.

Many Thanks, Mogan

Sounds like you're off to a good start. I love the pic of your bike on departure! Looks like you are going around the world! Enjoy! I think the route you finally chose maximizes the nice stuff

Oh my gawd! Too cool Mogan - you go boy!

Oh, can I borrow the K bike while your gone? Have a great trip and ride safe.

Thx! I planned what to pack for about a year. And, I don't think there's much difference between packing for 5 weeks or for 50 weeks. Part of what takes up space is all the camera gear I have... Next time I may try 50 weeks! This is a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ride is done guys. One of the most memorable experiences of my life. The bike performed almost flawlessly...having a front brake failure attributable to a fluid leak in the t-banjo area below the headlights. Bad install.

I subjected it to tremendous abuse in all kinds of terrain and weather. NO farkle failures of any kind. Can you believe it? I did end up tossing my waterproof duffle halfway through the trip, trading it in for a GIVI V46. The big "wow" discovery for me was how much better the engine ran after a throttle body synch.

Anyway, feel free to visit my blog if you want to follow the trip. Mogan

I actually had the same happen to me with my stainless line at the same joints. Had to retighten. Noticed it while I was on my MN1000 ride. Made it home safe though.

But anyway, too cool. Thanks for the link and letting us ride with you.
