What a year!

-Hiroshima & Nagasaki.

-FDR dies and Harry S. takes the reins.

-WWII ends.

-An average new home will set you back $4500.

-A gallon of gas - 15 cents.

-A new car - $1000.

ShinyPartsUp loses his virginity......in prison.

...And along with Rod Stewart, Goldie Hawn, and Steve Martin,

MOOSEONAGOOSE comes into the world!

Helluva year!

Have a good one, amigo.

Wow! Thanks everyone! I'm a little slow on the uptake, to say the least!

The "day" passed w/o alot of fanfare here locally, I awoke to find mother nature had brought me several inches of the white stuff & frigid temps [bah humbug! ...& it's still on the ground too], my brother bought me the ubiquitous bottle, & a local pal sprang for a coupla pints later in the evening. At 64 I don't spread the news around too much anymore.

The later part of this summer didn't see me on the bike as much as I'd have liked, nor for that matter on the Forum as often either, ...but just lately I've been stoppin' by a bit more frequently. So it's nice to know I ain't been fergot!

The culprit behind my hiatus is a new four wheeled toy which I acquired about mid summer [an early b'day gift from me-to-me I guess!]. The first couple cars of my long ago mis-spent youth were as much projects as drivers owing to my passion for the rod & custom thing, a sickness which bit me hard at an early age. For about the last twenty-odd years the urge has been steadily growing to have another lowwwwrrrrride in the garage! So, I finally caved-in & there's now a '53 Bel Air 2dr post in the family, & I've admittedly been a tad pre-occupied of late by it's presence! As soon as I figure out the photo posting protocol, I'll give ya'll a looksee. Amongst other things, I'm not sure which of the hosting services I want to use yet, any thoughts or preferences?
