Morton's Oktoberfest

So, this morning I was at Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA for their Oktoberfest and to have Moto-Lights installed. WHile there during the day I saw at least 4or 5 other FJRs...

was it anyone from this forum?

who else was there?

I was there on a 2005 ABS with only a factory top case. I rolled in with a gent on an 03 ABS who I hadn't previously met. He had 70k on it and said he's been to both East and West coast rallies. I think his plates read FJRSST or something of that nature.

yeh, I talked with him as well... but I didn't get his name. Actually, I was surprised to see so many FJRs there, I thought everyone would have headed out for the leaf peeping ride. Nice to see the bike represented so well at a beemer event.

It was also good to see the GT in person -- made me even happier I bought the FJR!

The GT is a bit bland in the styling dept. BMW has been trying to get over the "appliance" styling with the newer models. I think they blew it on this one. The previous model looked much better. The new one looks like it has after market fairing.
