So I am explaining to my young boys about how televison of today can't compare with the teevee of my youth, and they ask me for examples.

I head over to youtube to explain, usin CHiPs, The Shazam-Isis hour, and all the greats of the 70's.

They are not impressed. Time to get out the big guns: The Six Million Dollar Man. Has to be the best TV show ever made.

We inexplicably land on an episode which has Steve driving an RV through Mullholland, trying to evade some bad guys who are out to steal the RV's nuclear powered engine to use for evil.

Exactly. High powered entertainment.

We're watching the episode, and wham!! It's got everything:

-high speed RV chase through Mulholland.

- cool Chevy van shag wagon

-a stop for apple pie, despite being chased by bad guys

-dudes on Harley's getting their butts kicked BY A GIRL for being too fresh

-a cameo stop at the Rock Store

-throwaway sexist digs at women drivers

Classic, just classic. I ordered up the whole series on Time Life and have a few auction watches at Ebay for a Steve Austin doll.

Ain't nostalgia great!!

Yes....spent tonight wiring a trailer light kit on my Honda, that's how pathetic it is getting. Next thing ya know, I'll be catching up on missed sessions of The View while waiting for my oolong tea to steep in the Boodum.

Someone save me...

That chick who played Isis.. lets just say she contributed greatly to my poor eye sight as an adult.

Hudson, order the Petticoat Junction series. That was some serious eye candy back in the day. Had NO idea what the show was about, didn't Care either. And don't get me started on I Dream of Jeannie!
