Got an invite to have some joe and chat with some old friends. Love to.
Up at dawn and on the road heading west to the East Bay. (The East Bay refers to the area
just across the bay and to the east of San Francisco. It's heavily populated of course,
but is beautifully hilly and rural-looking in places. Too much to describe.)
Gee willikers, they're practically giving this stuff away lately.
And with my Safeway S&H green stamps, it's the price of HYCLE's wisdom!
I pulled off the highway somewhere along the way, and sat on a rural road
in the thick, cold fog.
It was like a blanket pulled around me, altering my perception, and sending my
imagination down another path...
...Then I peed on a bush and got back on the freeway.
Moving along.
It was very good to see these two familiar faces.
We sat for a couple of hours I think, and drank blended coffees, and talked about motorcycles,
and offspring, and work, and women, and riding, and some of you bastards.
Then Ray (Silent) had to get home to his new muttley, Alex. (Ray, post one of those new pics of him.)
Hans (James Burleigh) then guided me on a short ride up into the hills above and around the area.
(65 and the sun had broken through!) Glorious - and trippy man.
You hardly realize that you're just minutes from 3 very large cities-San Fran, Oakland, and San Jose.
I bade JB farewell, and turned eastward toward the valley. With the sun sliding down
toward the Pacific behind me, and more beautiful asphalt stretched out in front of me,
I was almost overwhelmed with contentment. Go figure, huh?
As I rolled into Sacramento again, instead of just heading straight to my shack behind the factory,
I decided to head downtown and look around for some photo ops. So I did.
That's the actual sign there. No photo edit.
And over the Sacramento River under an autumn afternoon sky. I couldn't pull over and
frame the picture to make it look nicer. Dammit.
The Tower Bridge heading east with the State Capitol buildings in the distance.
Couldn't beat the train.
The California State Railroad Museum is just up the track.
And on down the Capitol Mall.
They're decorating the State Christmas Tree. Great job to have, huh?
Old Sac and the remnants of a big Toy Run today. Where were you dcarver?
My new friend Steve on his '03!
"These fuckers don't know what we know Mike. They never get out of 3rd gear, and then they
go home and go back to shinin' chrome." Peace Steve.
Then through our little downtown.
And a quick stop at Bust's house.
He wouldn't come to the door. I know he was home. His car was across the street.
Probably inside spooning with Hutch.  I kill me.
Okay, that was a lame way to end this nifty report, but that's all I got.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look. Have a great December amigos.
Until next week....
